Ages 30 months - 6 years

Full Day (8:30 am - 3:00 pm, aftercare is available until 6pm)

Half day (8:30 am - 11:30 am)

 

Dr. Montessori designed this program for 3 to 6 year old children. She believed that grouping children in a family, or mixed-age levels, contributed to a more vibrant community, which encouraged younger children to model on older children, and inspired the older children to become teachers to their younger classmates.

While language development, refinement of sensory and motor skills, and social development continue in this program, a more advanced curriculum that includes reading, mathematics, geography, biology, and history is also introduced.

The Primary program is geared to develop a sense of order, an ability to concentrate, and the encouragement of creativity. Each child continues to progress at his or her own pace under the guidance of a teacher trained specifically for these age levels. Eligibility for this program does not require previous experience in Montessori Toddler programs.

The full-day program is available to students who are ready for an all-day program. It is the culmination of the Montessori experience, and draws upon the work habits and concentration that the child has developed in preceding years. It is designed to work with the most advanced Montessori materials including
